WHEN DOES OCCUR A FUTSAL KICK-IN?
1- The kick-in in Futsal will be called whenever the ball crosses completely (with contact with the floor or flying over it) the side-lines or touches the ceiling.
HOW TO DELIVER THE KICK-IN?
2- The kick-in must be delivered with the feet, with the ball placed where it left the field, and can be played in any direction, executed by any player of the opponent team that last touched the ball.
3- The player, at the moment of execution of the kick-in, must do it with one part of his feet on the side-line or outside the playing court. The player cannot have a foot fully inside the court.
4- The ball will be in play as soon as the kick-in is executed, being moved into the playing court.
5- The player who executed the kick-in cannot touch the ball a second time until another player touches it. If he touches a second time, an indirect free kick will be called against his team.
FUTSAL OWN GOAL FROM THE KICK-IN
6- If a player shoots a kick-in against his own goal, and the ball touches any player, the goal is valid. If it goes directly to the goal, the goal will not be valid. A corner kick will be taken in favor of the opponent team.
DIRECT GOAL FROM THE KICK-IN
7- If a player shoots a kick-in towards the opponent’s goal, and the ball touches any player, the goal is valid. If it goes directly to the goal, the goal will not be valid. A goal kick will be taken in favor of the opponent team.
KICK-IN OPPONENTS DISTANCE
8- When executed a kick-in, the players of the opponent team must respect the minimum distance of 05 (five) meters from the ball.
KICK-IN BALL POSITION
9- In the execution of the kick-in, the ball must be on the ground, placed where it crossed the side-line, not moving. The ball must be placed on the side-line, or at most 25 (twenty-five) centimeters of the line, out of the field.
SUBSTITUTION AND THE KICK-IN
10- When the ball leaves the playing court exactly in the substitution zone and there is a substitution at that time, the substitute player to perform the kick-in must first enter the court and then leave it and execute the kick-in.
a) If this player executes the kick-in without entering the court, one of the referees stops the game, determines that the player enters the court, and executes the kick-in. The ball remains in the possession of the same team and no card is applied;
b) When the same team does this mistake twice during the game, one of the referees stops the game, shows a yellow card and reverses the kick-in to the opponent team.
11- When the ball leaves the playing court outside the substitution zone and there is a substitution at that time, the substitute player to perform the kick-in, must first enter the court and then leave it, and then execute the kick-in.
– If this player takes the kick-in without entering the court, one of the referees stops the game, determines that the player leaves the court, shows a yellow card, determines the entry through the correct place and reverses the kick-in in favor of the opponent team.
KICK-IN EXECUTION TIME
12 – The team that is going to execute the kick-in must do it in 04 (four) seconds after a ball is available and under control.
KICK-IN REVERSAL
13- – If the ball is irregularly put into, outside the place where it left, more than 04 (four) seconds for the execution or if the ball does not enter the playing court or, the referee will determine the reversal of the play, giving to the opponent team the kick-in possession.
THE GOALKEEPER AND THE KICK-IN
14- If the goalkeeper executes the kick-in, he will not be able to receive the ball in his half-court from a teammate until the ball touches an opponent. If it is a teammate who executed the kick, the goalkeeper may receive it once in his half-court.
15- If the goalkeeper receives the ball in his half-court from a teammate and he leads the ball to the attack court, he may return with it to his half of the court, and when he returns to his half, he has 4 (four) seconds to pass the ball.
16- If the goalkeeper receives the ball the first time in the attacking court, he may return to his court respecting the four seconds.
KICK-IN OBSTRUCTION
17- If an opponent player intentionally tries to obstruct the kick-in, he must be punished with a yellow card;
18- If a team has the right to execute a kick-in, and a player from the opponent team do it, the referee must stop the game, and point the side (to attack) for the kick-in.
KICK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
a) When executing the kick-in, if a player from the opponent team obstructs the execution or delays the restart of the game, he must be warned with a yellow card;
b) When the ball leaves the field, and a player from the opponent team is less than 05 (five) meters from the ball, the referees must ask the player to move away, before authorizing the kick-in, and only punish him with a yellow card if he doesn’t want to move;
c) If an opponent player is less than 05 (five) meters away, but does not obstruct the execution, it may be authorized;
d) When the ball leaves the field, the referee must immediately indicate which team has the kick-in possession (to attack), by pointing with his arm at an angle of 45o (forty-five degrees);
e) At the moment of the execution of the kick-in, some players of the possession team may be outside the court, however the opponent players must be inside the court, except when in a play they leave the court and the possession team quickly executes the kick-in.
