Muay Thai Training for Beginners

Introduction: Firstly, I will introduce myself and give a brief background on Muay Thai. Then, I will ask the children why they are interested in learning Muay Thai and what they expect to achieve from the classes. This is also an opportunity for me to understand their motivation and expectations.

Warm-up: Every good Muay Thai lesson plan starts with a proper warm-up. For children, I will keep the warm-up fun and engaging. We will start with a light jog or jumping jacks, followed by stretching exercises. We will then move on to shadowboxing, where the children can practice their punches and kicks without a partner.

Main Activities: After the warm-up, we will move on to the main activities. These will include practicing basic techniques such as punches, kicks, elbow strikes, and knee strikes. We will also practice combinations and footwork. For children, I will keep the pace slow and allow them to practice each technique until they feel comfortable.

Cool-down: Once the main activities are complete, we will move on to the cool-down. This will include light stretching exercises to prevent muscle soreness and injuries. We will also take the time to reflect on what we have learned in class and answer any questions the children may have.
