FUTSAL WINGER POSITIONING AND MOVEMENT
Futsal Wingers keep an open positioning in the pitch sides most of the time.
Since Futsal is a very dynamic sport, there is constant change in position among players (rotation).
INVERTED WINGER IN FUTSAL
In Futsal, there is a Left Winger and a Right Winger.
We call it an “Inverted Winger” when the Right Winger is left-footed and the Left Winger is right-footed.
The inverted positioning of wingers is used to make the “kicking angle range” easier, that is, the right-footed Left Winger can dribble inwards (towards the middle of the pitch) increasing kicking angle range and prioritizing the dominant leg.
The same applies to the left-footed Right Winger who may also dribble inwards (towards the middle of the pitch) increasing kicking angle range and prioritizing the dominant leg.
